On November 12, 2016, HKFYG attended the prize presentation ceremony cum Study Mission Sharing session for "Youth Energy Saving Award" to share the joy with the awardees in the competition. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Diocesan Girls' School, Tsuen Wan Government Secondary School, Ho Yu College and Primary School (Sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen) and Hennessy Road Government Primary School (Causeway Bay) for their cash donation to HKFYG for provision of youth services.

YESA is organized by the Environment Bureau and Electrical and Mechanical Services Department. The aim of YESA is to let the youth understand the importance of energy-saving and reduction of carbon emissions in their daily life.

In the competition, participants have to plan and implement the innovative and effective energy conservation and carbon reduction programs in their home or institutions. Furthermore, they have to promote the advantages of using the renewable energy and energy-saving measures to the public.

The winning team will receive the cash awards for donation to its nominated non-profit-making organisation for provision of youth services. Also, the winners in the Platinum Award could have a chance to participate in the low-carbon city study tour to visit Sweden's Malmo, Denmark's Copenhagen or local energy-saving learning camps to learn different local enery-saving technologies and measures.
