    青協和大埔區議會合辦、水務署協辦的「綠惜活力水陸歷奇挑戰賽暨惜水嘉年華」已在2017年10月21日圓滿舉行。活動除了提倡青年和大眾多做運動外,亦希望他們在生活中珍惜得來不易的水資源,建立起節約用水的習慣。 為配合青協邁向綠色機構的目標,青協在活動中加入了不同的環保元素,藉此教育同工和大眾環保的重要性。 1. 惜水、減廢 青協在本活動中不派發樽裝水和紙杯,取而代之我們設置了自助式添加食水設備,並鼓勵參加者自備水樽和使用這些設備添加食水。此外,我們亦準備了一些可以循環再用的杯以供典禮使用。      2. 回收 我們在場內設置膠樽和鋁罐回收桶,並鼓勵參加者把用完的鋁罐和膠樽清潔後放於回收桶內,以培養大眾乾淨回收的習慣。 此外,在活動過後,我們妥善收集和回收盛載物資的紙箱,避免他們被扔棄於堆填區。    3. 重用活動物資 在活動過後,我們把活動中剩餘的物資收回並妥善存放,以供將來其他活動中使用。 4. 加入環保攤位以推廣惜水及環保意識 當日下午於船灣淡水湖直升機坪上舉行「惜水嘉年華」,當中有不同的環保展板、體驗活動和攤位遊戲;希望通過趣味性的活動,教育市民珍惜用水和建立環保生活習慣。        綠惜活力水陸歷奇挑戰賽暨嘉年華活動花絮  綠惜活力水陸歷奇訪問片段

    為關注青年情緒健康,青協在2017年4月9日舉辨了全港首個「背包跑」 – 「HKFYG Run For Wellness」;各參加者在當天一同背起背包及書本跑步,象徵分擔青年壓力,一起為快樂起步。 青協作為一間為青年服務的綠色機構,冀在不同的會內活動中加入環保元素,藉此教育同工和青年環保的重要性。因此,在青協背包跑中,我們亦加入不同的綠色元素,讓參加者在享受賽事的同時,加強他們的環保意識。 青協在活動中實施了以下的環保措施: 1.      回收膠樽 背包跑的其中一個重點環保元素是「增加回收」。因此,我們在場內不同地方設置共6個膠樽回收袋,並安排義工在場內提醒參加者進行回收。當天共回收了約1,000個膠樽、30個紙皮;而據當值義工反映,參加者普遍支持進行膠樽回收,而所收到的膠樽大都潔淨。在此感謝各參加者對環保的支持。       此外,我們亦透過司儀在典禮台上發放環保訊息,感染參加者支持環保。 2.      減發活動物資 在活動中,所有的背包都已分發到參加者和嘉賓中。而活動中剩餘的樽裝水和麵包都在活動後分發同事/義工,減少浪費資源。我們亦在活動中收回有用的物資,以供將來其他活動中使用。 3.      加入環保攤位以推廣環保意識 場內加入了配合大會主題而具環保元素的攤位。透過製作環保驅蚊稻草人,教育參加者以天然方法驅蚊,減少依賴化學物品。 4.    在活動宣傳和資料發放中加入環保章節 為加強同工的環保意識,青協在同事需知中加入「環保注意事項」的欄目,提醒同事注意和實踐環保行為。 環保需要持之以恆 青協在未來將會繼續努力,在不同的活動中加入環保元素,為保護環境盡一分力。

At the evening, HKFYG Youth S.P.O.T. was turn off the unnecessary lights without affecting the service situation.                           In addition, it will through publicity and promotion to encourage the public to respond to activities.

    “Earth Hour” is a worldwide event organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). People across the world turn their non-essential lights off at the appointed time for one hour. It aims to spread out the messages of reducing energy consumption and the importance of low-carbon living. “Earth Hour 2017” was held at 20:30 to 21:30 on 25 March 2017(Saturday).     “Neighborhood Reunion Dinner” is the HKFYG once a year to the neighbrhood sent warm blessing and care of the big day. HKFYG will hold a total of 1000 seats Poon Choi opened in the 18 districts of Hong Kong on January 14, 2017, which will be hosted by the young members of the neighborhood team to celebrate their anniversary.     Water Supplies Department (SD), HKFYG, as well as a number of green groups and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) jointly organized the “Water Conservation Week 2016” from November 17, 2016 to November 21, 2016 to increase the public awareness in water saving.     HKFYG Sustainability Unit organized the “Energy Saving and Water Conservation Workshop” in October 2016 to enhance staff awareness in energy saving and water conservation, and influence them to adopt the related measures in their daily work. We invited the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), our environmental consultant to be the guest speaker in the workshop. The contents include the introduction of the air-conditioning systems and water-saving equipment, the maintenance of the existing systems etc.

    Joining hands with the Environmental Protection Department, HKFYG sets up the “Community Recycling Network – NGO Collection Points” in our Youth S.P.O.Ts for the fourth consecutive years to educate the general public in developing a long-lasting habit on clean waste recycling. At the same time, the collection points provides access for collecting recyclables with low commercial value, including plastics, glass bottles and small waste electrical and electronic equipments.   As of September 2016, thanks to support from residents and youth, we have collected 50,488.2 kilograms of recyclables, which equivalent to plant 28,901 trees indirectly.
