Earth Hour 2017

Earth Hour is a worldwide event organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). People across the world turn their non-essential lights off at the appointed time for one hour. It aims to spread out the messages of reducing energy consumption and the importance of low-carbon living. Earth Hour 2017 was held at 20:30 to 21:30 on 25 March 2017(Saturday).

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) attaches great importance to environmental protection. This was our
seventh year in supporting this meaningful event. The non-essential lights in our units and offices were turned off during the Earth Hour without affecting the service to promote the message of environmental protection to the public.

On the other hand, we can do more energy saving! HKFYG colleagues also share the daily life of energy saving and carbon reduction tips:

In addition, The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Jockey Club Media 21 and Green Channel will contact the youth to shoot the action to support the action of the video, and upload to Facebook and web pages.
